When you use the gift finder, the text you type into the input field (e.g. "my mother, 62, a devoted gardener") is transmitted to our AI provider to generate the suggestions. We do not store these inputs on our servers.

When you visit our pages, technical data such as your IP address are briefly logged by the server in order to deliver the page (Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR - legitimate interest in stable operation).

- AI provider - acting as a processor under Art. 28 GDPR. A data-processing agreement is in place. - When you click an idea, you briefly pass through our own /go interstitial page. The page receives the search query you click on (no personal data) and immediately forwards you to the partner site (e.g. Amazon), where the partner's own privacy practices apply.

We set strictly necessary cookies without consent (Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR): - NEXT_LOCALE - stores your language preference (value "en" or "de"). - consent_v1 - stores your consent decision per category (statistics, marketing) as JSON so we do not ask you again. - analytics_client_id - an anonymous browser identifier for Google Analytics, only set when you grant the statistics category.

If you accept the consent banner, we use Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland; parent company Google LLC, USA). We process truncated IP address, device and browser information, and interaction data (which pages you visit, which gift ideas you click). The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR). Google may transfer data to the United States, covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. You can revoke consent at any time - either via the "Cookie settings" link in the footer, which re-opens the consent dialog, or by clearing the consent_v1 cookie in your browser.

Gift-finder inputs are processed transiently - they are not kept once the suggestions have been generated. Server logs are automatically deleted after at most 14 days.

You have the right at any time to access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object (Art. 21). Please contact us using the address in the imprint.
